The Story & Background
Upon completing an obligatory prayer, the Prophet (ﷺ) would not immediately stand up and leave. Instead, he would sit and seek forgiveness, glorifying Allah. This practice bridges the gap between the structured worship of Salah and returning to worldly affairs, sealing the prayer with perfection and asking Allah to forgive any shortcomings that occurred during it.
Practical Application
Many Muslims rush to leave after the tasleem, missing out on massive rewards. Building the habit of sitting for just two extra minutes to complete these adhkar is highly recommended.
